Year Ender 2022: WWE Top 5 Tag Team Matches of the Year 2022

1. The Usos vs RK-BRO

The Usos and RK-Bro battled on the SmackDown brand to become the first-ever Undisputed Tag Team Champions. Randy Orton and Riddle put their bodies on the line in order to crown themselves the overall champions of the tag team division. However, The Usos didn’t put a stop to their Raw Tag Team Championship reign after defeating them.

Although RK-Bro dominated the match, Roman Reigns aided his cousins to win the match. In the final moments, Riddle tried to deliver a super RKO but Reigns held his cousin tight to neutralize Riddle’s attack. Thus allowing the Usos to win the match with a Uso Splash.

2. The Street Profits vs The Usos

At SummerSlam, Street Profits faced The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles after a controversial loss at MITB. The match featured WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett as the special guest referee. Both teams faced each other in an intense match delivering some shocking spots to watch out for. During the match, the Street Profits almost got their hands on the title after Montez Ford delivered a frog splash on Jey Uso.

However, he wasn’t able to pin him after hitting it. Later, the match turned the tables towards The Usos who decimated the Street Profits eventually, walking as the champions once again.

3. Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai vs Toxic Attraction

During the April 5th episode of WWE NXT, Toxic Attraction challenged Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai for the NXT Women’s tag team titles. Gonzalez man-handled Toxic Attraction dominating the match. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to continue her dominance when NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose appeared on the ringside.

Eventually, Toxic traction took advantage of the distraction and hit Gonzalez with the Toxic Shock to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. This started a new era on the NXT brand with Toxic Attraction’s sealing all the gold for themselves.

4. The Creed Brothers vs Pretty Deadly

The Creed Brothers challenged Pretty Deadly for the NXT Tag Team Title at WWE NXT In Your House. The match featured Creed Brothers destroying Pretty Deadly in an intense match. At first, Pretty Deadly used all their mind tricks to distract Julias and Brutus. However, the powerhouses decimated the champions to win their first title on the White and Gold brand.

In the final moments of the match, Julius Creed delivered a shooting star press to seal their victory. Following their match, they celebrated their victory with their family on the ringside.

5. Alexa Bliss & Asuka vs Damage CTRL

After an upsetting loss on Monday Night Raw, Damage CTRL challenged Asuka and Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Crown Jewel. Sky and Kai showed their in-ring skills to put the match to the next level against the champions. The match featured several spots where both teams took high risks.

The match was totally in the champions’ favor until an unpredictable interference occurred. While Bliss made herself ready on the top rope for the Twisted Bliss, Nikki Cross appeared from nowhere assaulting the champion. This allowed Damage CTRL to take advantage of the situation and regain their tag team titles. This was one of the best matches of WWE Crown Jewel 2022.
