WWE Survivor Series 2020 is scheduled for November 22, 2020 from inside the WWE ThunderDome at Amway Center. The WWE Survivor Series will be here before we know it. The company did some work on the Survivor Series card last night, but there’s more to be done. One pick for the Women’s side seems a bit obvious for it not to take place.
Follow along here for spoilers and information on the event’s card, lineup of matches and news regarding the pay-per-view.
The following are my predictions for the 2020 WWE Survivor Series PPV. Check back for Survivor Series 2020 results and review coverage here when the time comes.
Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Sheamus and TBD) vs. Team SmackDown (Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Seth Rollins and TBD)
No NXT this year. That’s a bummer.
Remaining Team Raw options = The remaining two members pretty much have to be Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman.
Remaining Team SmackDown options = Aleister Black, Apollo Crews, Big E*, Chad Gable, Dominik Mysterio*, Kalisto, Lars Sullivan*, Murphy* – technically, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Rey Mysterio and Otis could win a second chance thing, but I doubt it.
PREDICTION: TBD depending on the teams and the rest of the card. For now, we’ll say Team Raw.
Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (Dana Brooke, Lana, Mandy Rose, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler) vs. Team SmackDown (Bianca Belair, Ruby Riott, TBD, TBD and TBD)
No NXT this year.
Remaining Team SmackDown options = Bayley*, Carmella*, Liv Morgan*, Tamina – Technically, Billie Kay, Natalya and Zelina Vega could find their way back into the match even though they lost qualifiers.
Missed opportunity to have Peyton Royce and Billie Kay on the opposite sides.
PREDICTION: Team SmackDown wins with Bianca Belair as the sole survivor.
WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns
WHY THE HELL DID WWE TAKE THE TITLE OFF DREW MCINTYRE IN ORDER TO SET THIS MATCH UP? THIS MAKES NO SENSE FOR LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE PERSON INVOLVED!!!
Why would you want heel vs. heel? Why would you want to offset the two biggest heels by putting them against each other and making it a situation where they both have to look less credible? Why would you bypass giving Drew McIntyre a solid match like that? Why couldn’t you just wait to put the title on Orton at TLC? Why are you setting up Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton just to have this match?
What the hell are you thinking, WWE???!?!?
PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins.
Raw Women’s Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks
PREDICTION: It entirely depends on who wins the other matches, as this doesn’t matter.
United States Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
Surely this can’t be the match, right? Lashley would just steamroll Zayn. And why do they have so many heel vs heel matches?
Maybe Zayn drops the Intercontinental Championship in the meantime. Perhaps that’s the game plan. They do like to have a random title change ahead of time to switch things up and get people talking.
If that’s the case, Lashley vs. Daniel Bryan would probably be the setup. If not that, maybe Otis wins the title. Or maybe it’s Big E who beats Zayn.
Or we should just shut my mouth and stop trying to predict the increasingly frustrating lack of direction “refuse to plan ahead” mentality that WWE has, and instead, just let it stay as Lashley vs. Zayn and assume this event is a mess.
PREDICTION: Bobby Lashley wins if he fights Sami Zayn.
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits
Neat. We are big fans of both of these teams.
PREDICTION: The Street Profits win.
+ more matches TBA
Here are some matches we imagine could be on this show:
Otis vs. Tucker
Is it Raw vs SmackDown, or did they officially trade Tucker back to SmackDown already? Or does this just take place on SmackDown itself, rather than here? Or do they not even bother?
Well, it seems like Tucker’s on Raw, but he’s a total jobber and they probably have no interest in following through with this easy storyline. What’s the point of splitting them, then?
PREDICTION: Otis wins.
