WWE Superstars: Edge
The Rated-R Superstar made a triumphant return earlier this year after successfully recovering from a triceps injury he sustained last year in a match against Randy Orton at Backlash 2020. Although he returned late in 2020, his first match after return took place in January 2021, Royal Rumble PPV event.
Edge after winning the Royal Rumble 2021 matchEdge made a memorable return to in-ring competition as he won the 30-man Royal Rumble match to headline Wrestlemania 37. Although he lost the triple-threat Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania against Roman Reigns that included Danie Bryan as the third competitor, he made his fans go bonkers with his epic return.

WWE Superstars: John Cena
The 17-time World Champion made his much-anticipated return at the Money in the Bank PPV in July 2021. He returned and confronted the Universal Champion Roman Reigns to set up a future clash against him.

John Cena confronted Roman reigns at Money in the Bank PPVFor almost a month, John Cena and Roman Reigns feuded on Friday Night Smackdown to set up an eventual clash at the Summerslam PPV event. Cena chasing his 17th World title failed to get hold of the championship and returned to Hollywood.

WWE Superstar: Becky Lynch
Another superstar who made her return this year was the former Smackdown & Raw tag-team champion, Becky Lynch. Lynch’s return was much-anticipated, but no one saw it coming at the Summerslam PPV in August.
Becky Lynch won the Smackdown Women’s Championship at her returnLynch not only returned to the fold but defeated the then Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair on the very first night of her return and won the Smackdown Women’s title in just 26 seconds. Lynch currently is a part of Monday Night Raw and holds the Raw Women’s title.

WWE Superstars: Goldberg
The WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg made his return on the Money in the Bank go-home edition of Monday Night Raw. He had his task cut out as he wanted to take on the then WWE Champion Bobby Lashley for the Championship title.- This was Goldberg’s second return to the company in 2021 after competing against Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble in January.
Goldberg competed at Summerslam PPVBobby & Goldberg collided at the Summerslam PPV event that saw the Hall of Famer getting snapped by the All-Mighty, and eventually, the match was given to the WWE Champion. Later in October, Goldberg returned again to challenge Bobby Lashley in a non-title bout (Lashley was no longer the champion then) at WWE Crown Jewel PPV and managed to pin the All-Mighty in a very personal battle.

WWE Superstars: Brock Lesnar
Perhaps the biggest return of this year was the return of the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Lesnar’s return at Summerslam was something no one saw coming, and the 45,000+ audience present at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada was on their feet to acknowledge the Beast.

Roman was shell-shocked after seeing Lesnar and left the ring along with paul Heyman after a staredown. Lesnar’s return in a new look saw the crowd going bonkers in the stadium.
