WWE Superstars: 5 superstars who are close to retirement- Over the years, WWE has seen many superstars making their name courtesy of their unimaginable in-ring skills and the way they connect with their fans.

Still, there are enough superstars on the current roster who haven’t opted for the “part-time” role and have been putting their bodies on the line week after week just for the sake of our entertainment. In this post, we have listed 5 such superstars who are aging like fine wine but nearing their retirement. So, without any further ado, let’s plunge into the list.

WWE Superstars: Edge (Age 48)

The Rated-R Superstar Edge is a former 11-time World Champion and a WWE Hall of Famer. There’s barely an accolade that has eluded Edge’s resume in WWE, and he has been entertaining all of us for more than 20 years now.

A triple fusion neck surgery might have halted his WWE career for 9 long years but couldn’t halt his spirit and the hope of stepping into the ring once again to end his career on his own terms. His entry in the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match at #21 still remains one of the most epic comebacks in WWE history as the crowd present in the arena and the people watching him went bonkers when they heard, “You think you know me…”

Edge is 48 now and has only a handful of years left on his WWE contract. Till the time he is in with the company, epicness, sheer will, and determination are the things we could expect from the Rated-R Superstar.

WWE Superstars: Rey Mysterio (Age 46)

Rey Mysterio is perhaps the greatest short man in WWE history. A legendary figure in the company, Rey’s WWE achievements could not get beaded in one string, and his loyalty towards the company is simply unparallel.

After entertaining the WWE fans for almost two decades, Rey is still going hard today. But at the same time, grooming his son Dominik Mysterio to become a worthy competitor in a WWE ring. That being said, Rey remains one of the polarizing figures in WWE, and it would be interesting to see how long he will continue pushing his body to entertain us.

WWE Superstars: AJ Styles (Age 44)

The Phenomenal One may be a late bloomer in WWE but a legend in the pro-wrestling circuit. After making the fans go gaga over his extraordinary in-ring skills in pro-wrestling promotions worldwide i.e., NJPW, Ring of Honor, TNA (Impact Wrestling), WCW, NWA, etc., the man from Gainesville, Georgia made his debut for WWE in 2016.

AJ Styles

AJ debuted in WWE in the 2016 Royal Rumble match, and since then, he has never looked back. AJ is the fastest to become a grand slam champion in WWE. He achieved this feat in the first five years of his career and has been growing with leaps and bounds. Currently, AJ is working with Omos as a part of the tag-team division on Monday Night Raw. He has already made it clear that once his contract with WWE is over, he will hang his wrestling boots.

WWE Superstars: Jeff Hardy (Age 44)

A promising career that started as an individual who didn’t shy away from taking huge risks has turned into a legendary career today. Jeff is one of the most loved individuals among the pro-wrestling fans, and over the years he has massively put his body on the line and taken high risks to entertain us.

Jeff Hardy

Jeff is still going hard and strong and has moved to Friday Night Smackdown during the WWE draft last month. The former World Champion wants to face Roman Reigns and hold the Universal Title once in his career before bidding adieu to pro-wrestling. Will the Charismatic Enigma achieve this feat?

WWE Superstar: Randy Orton (Age 41)

The Viper, The Apex Predator, The 14-time World Champion Randy Orton is one of the most decorated WWE Superstars in history. Yes, I know the term “viciousness” has many synonyms, but adding Randy Orton to the list of its synonyms could go pretty well.

Randy Orton

Randy is one of those few superstars whose heelish side is well appreciated and accepted by the fans as his babyface character. This is quite rare, but Randy has the aura, the charisma to pull off both characters with utmost ease and sincerity.

He is 41 today and still has many ass-kickings left in him. The one thing the Viper should specifically target is breaching the record of holding the World Championship more than 16-times. With age still favoring his potential, we could easily see Randy Orton becoming a record 17-time World Champion.

NoteWe haven’t mentioned the names of Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and John Cena in this list as they are part-timers in WWE today.
