WWE Smackdown Last week Kevin Owens was involved in an Intercontinental Championship match against the defending champion Apollo Crews, with Commander Azeez barred from the ringside. However, as Owens was making his way to the ring from backstage, Azeez planted a vicious attack on the former Universal Champion to ensure he doesn’t get into the ring a hundred percent fit.
What transpired next was bound to happen. A less than 100% fit Owens tried his best to pull off a miraculous victory over the Intercontinental Champion but unfortunately couldn’t end up winning.
Kevin Owens got attacked by Sami Zayn last week!
WWE Smackdown: After the match got over, an exhausted and injured Kevin Owens was reeling inside the ring. Just when he was trying to collect himself, Sami Zayn came down rushing to the ring and placed a perfect Helluva Kick on his old friend. After he was done, he yelled at Owens,
“That doesn’t feel too good, does it, huh? You’re already hurt, and someone comes along and makes it worse!”

WWE Smackdown: After what transpired last week, one thing is clear, Kevin Owens will be seeking explanations from Sami Zayn. Both these men have a long history of rivalry ever since Owens betrayed Zayn in NXT by hitting a pop-up powerbomb on him on the apron.
Since then, the two have been involved in multiple feuds and multiple storylines. Also, both men have been chasing WWE Intercontinental Championship of late, and there could be a No 1 contender’s match between the two to face Apollo Crews for the title. This week is going to be interesting as Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews storyline could go in a new direction with Sami Zayn’s involvement.
