Tonight’s Smackdown was opened up by Sami Zayn, who made his way to the ring on a wheelchair with two male nurses accompanying him. Zayn was seen wearing a neck brace and a brace on his left leg. Sami tried to shut him up, but Heyman wasn’t stopping. Sami stood up from the wheelchair and told Heyman that he knows Roman Reigns isn’t here tonight, and despite being injured, he is capable enough to rip his head off, and no one will come to save him.
During the same segment, Heyman confirmed Reigns’ absence from the show, and right after the main event of the night, it got revealed that Roman Reigns would appear next week on the show.
