WWE Smackdown: Toni Storm reportedly leaves WWE- Smackdown Superstar Toni Storm has reportedly bid adieu to WWE. Fightful and PWInsider reported that the Australian Superstar and the former NXT UK Women’s Champion requested her release, and it was granted to her.
WWE Smackdown: After her release, Storm flew home this morning from Baltimore, where WWE has arrived for a house show. The young superstar’s sudden departure is definitely a surprise and a tough pill to swallow.

An internal memo was issued today to announce Storm’s departure and did not mention budget cut, which has been a norm in 2020 and 2021. She is expected to serve her 90-day non-compete clause which would make her a free agent until March 29.
Toni Storm was called up to the main roster and sat in catering for months. When she was “used”, she was literally pied in the face and was crying after her title match.

WWE Smackdown: Toni Storm was in the title picture on the Blue brand
Toni Storm was recently in the title picture on Friday Night Smackdown. She was involved in a feud with the Smackdown women’s champion Charlotte Flair. This past week on Smackdown, she competed against Flair in a grueling contest for the Smackdown women’s championship but eventually lost the bout courtesy of Charlotte’s cheating.

Her last WWE TV match was for the Smackdown women’s title. However, her last match for WWE in a house show in Washington DC on Tuesday was a triple threat match that included Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. With her release, Toni Storm becomes the second superstar to leave WWE in December 2021 after the WWE veteran Jeff Hardy.
