WWE Smackdown- Smackdown Results and Highlights:

Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks- A rematch from Wrestlemania 37 is upon us. The two women started with a classic wrestling lock and then Sasha got Bianca locked in a sidelock. Sasha went for a Monkey Flip but Bianca landed on her feet, then she started her offense for good. Bianca then ran into Banks for good and completely rocked her.

Banks rolled outside near the commentary table where Becky Lynch was present as the guest commentator. Time to go for a commercial break.

The match continued after the commercial and the two ladies were inside the ring. Bianca tried superplexing Banks from the top turnbuckle, but Sasha pushed her, Belair flipped and landed on her feet.

The two women then continued with their offense with some great power moves and kept the audience present at the Royal Farma Arena in Baltimore engaged. Belair hit a vertical suplex on Banks and went for a cover, but the Boss survived.

Belair then went for a Glamazon-type slam that saw Banks going face-first on the mat. Banks hit a knee right on the face of Belair that completely rocked her. The match continued with Banks placing her offense for good and Belair too fighting back.

In the closing moments, Bianca lifted Banks for a Kiss of Death on the apron, but Banks somehow got away. Bianca then move outside and almost bumped into Becky Lynch. After exchanging a few words with Becky, Bianca moved into the ring, but Becky grabbed her braid and the referee couldn’t see it. That was all Banks needed to roll up Bianca for a pinfall win.

After the match got over, the newest member of Smackdown Charlotte Flair arrived and attacked both Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair to announce her arrival on Friday Nights.

 

 

Backstage- Roman Reigns was stunned to hear Brock Lesnar calling Paul Heyman his good friend. He then told Paul Heyman that he should go on Monday Night Raw and ensure that his cousins (The Usos) are not drafted to Monday Night Raw.

 

 

Backstage- Brock Lesnar reveals that he is a free agent all because of his good friend Paul Heyman. He also said that he can do whatever he wants to do.

The New Day & Street Profits vs. The Alpha Academy, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode- Koffi Kingston & Dolph Ziggler started the proceedings and it was all too quick. Kofi tagged Woods, and Ziggler tagged in Chad Gable. The match continued with Woods getting the better of Gable with his offense, before tagging in Montez Ford.

Ford continue the momentum and dominated Gable. He then went to the opposite corner and stuck a fierce right hand on each of the three members of the team. Otis, Roode, Ziggler all were outside the ring now. Ford tried diving on Otis from the apron, but the latter caught him and slammed Ford back-first on the apron and then to the barricade, before going into a commercial.

After the commercial, Chad Gable and Ford were inside the ring. Ford was desperately trying to get some offense going, but Gable’s technical abilities were way too good. Out of desperation, Ford somehow tagged in Angelo Dawkins and he went after Roode who was the legal man.

Dawkins ran into Roode and rocked him with two clotheslines. Dawkins looked unstoppable and was maneuvering his moves perfectly. He went for a pin on Roode, but Otis broke it. Otis then manhandled everyone but was put down with a running dive on the outside by Montez Ford.

In the closing moments of the match, Dawkins tagged Kofi and he tagged Woods, who dived on Robert Roode from the top turnbuckle to pick up a pinfall victory. It was all easy in the end.

Liv Morgan vs. Carmella- Liv Morgan just blasted on Carmella with a series of strikes. Carmella then walked out of the ring, grabbed the mic, and said “You Bitch.” She then asked her makeup team on the ringside to put a mask on her face to protect her beautiful face. After getting masked up, she went into the ring and hit her finisher on Liv Morgan. The match never really started so it ended in a no result.

Edge Returns- The Rated-R Superstar is back on Friday Night Smackdown

Edge started by thanking Baltimore crowd for the reaction they gave on his return tonight. He then said that Smackdown feels like home because he is the only superstar left today to start the first night of Smackdown. However, now he is on WWE Raw, he is excited to face new challenges and a new set of opponents.

From challenge, Edge remembered Seth Rollins’ challenge from last week. Edge then challenged him to extract those words from his mouth (Seth Rollins is better than me).

Seth Rollins appeared on the big screen and said that he is not on Smackdown tonight, but atEdge’s residence. This shocked Edge and he rushed backstage. Seth Rollins broke into Edge’s residence and was exploring it.

 

 

Backstage- The newest member of Friday Night Smackdown Drew McIntyre gets interviewed. The Scottish Warrior is having his sights set on the Universal Championship.

Kevin Owens vs. Happy Corbin- A frustrated Kevin Owens just pounded on Happy Corbin and rushed him with a series of strikes. He then took him to the corner post and went after him for good. He then sent Corbin outside and tried a running dive, but Corbin escaped from harm’s way. Riddick Moss aka Mad Cat Moss then took the opportunity to hit a cheap shot on Kevin Owens who was standing on the apron.

After the commercial, the two men were in the ring and Owens was up with his offense, but Corbin with a Deep 6 floored the Prize Fighter. Owens retaliated and went for two superkicks in a row followed by a Cannon Ball.

Owens went to the top turnbuckle for a Swanton dive, but Corbin escaped outside the ring. Owens followed him, but a slight distraction from Mad Cat Moss led Corbin to place an “End of Days” on Owens on the outside. He then rolled Owens inside the ring and hit yet another End of Days to end the match.

Backstage- Charlotte Flair gets interviewed after she gets drafted to Friday Night Smackdown. Flair said that FOX did a great job by picking up the most decorated Women’s Champion in history.

 

 

Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman in the ring- Roman Reigns says to the crowd present in the Royal Farm Arena, Baltimore- “Acknowledge Me.” After this Paul Heyman took the mic and said to the crowd chanting “Roman!”- “I am sorry, but this isn’t loud enough.”

He then talked about how the Demon Finn Balor is no longer undefeated after Extreme Rules, and the same will happen to Brock Lesnar at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Just when Paul Heyman called Brock Lesnar’s name, the Beast Incarnate’s music hit, and out he came.

Lesnar then walked straight into the face of the Universal Champion and all of a sudden it was chaos in the ring. Roman Reigns laid his hands on Brock Lesnar first, after some blows, Lesnar took Reigns to a Suplex City ride and planted two German Suplex on the champion. After going through the Suplex, Roman moved outside the ring and The Usos entered only to get annihilated by the Beast Incarnate.

 

 

WWE Draft Round 1: The night kicked off with the WWE Draft announcement. Sonya Deville & Adam Pearce commenced the WWE Draft.
