WWE Smackdown Results & Live Updates

The New Day vs. The Usos: King Woods and Jey Uso started the proceedings and it was the King who got the early momentum when he hit Jey Uso with a vicious right hand. The king then tagged in Kofi who was caught in some brutal offense by Jey who then tagged in his twin brother Jimmy.

Jimmy dominated for a while, but Kofi returned with his offense and tagged the King in. However, before leaving the ring, Kofi launched himself from the top turnbuckle on the outside, but The Usos caught him in the air and sent him flying into the timekeeper’s area. We now head into commercials.

As we returned from the commercial, Sir Kofi was in the ring with Jey Uso and the latter was in control. He lost his control when Sir Kofi jumped off the mat and went for a double leg stomp on the chest of Jey Uso who was standing on his feet. This gave Sir Kofi ample time to tag in the King, and now it was the King who was in command with a series of chest chops.

King Woods was carrying on with some momentum and delivering his offense for good. He sent Jey pounding until the latter didn’t tag his brother Jimmy. After exchanging some stiff right hands, Jimmy and King Woods looked out of gas, and finally, both tagged their partners in.

Sir Kofi was then caught in the middle of the ring with two superkicks from both the Usos on either side of his face. Jey went for a cover, but Kofi kicked out at 2. In the closing moments, The Usos were going for a Uso Splash from vertical corners of the ring on Kofi who was in the middle. King Woods pulled Jey Uso down, while Jimmy splashed on Kofi only to get caught with Kofi’s knees that were up in time.

Now, Kofi went to his corner, and Woods tagged himself in. Jimmy didn’t realize that the tag was made, therefore he superkicked Kofi and went for the cover, but the referee didn’t count as Kofi wasn’t the legal man. King Woods came from behind rolled up Jimmy for a pin and secured a victory for his Kingdom.

Shayna Baszler vs. Naomi Sonya Deville as Special Guest Referee: Sonya Deville made herself the special guest referee on purpose just to piss Naomi even more.

As the bell rang, Naomi took control with her moves and athletic abilities. She was completely dominating Baszler and didn’t give her a moment to respite. Naomi was going well until she landed badly after missing a high-flying maneuver from the top rope.

However, she regrouped quickly and went for a roll-up pin, but Sonya didn’t count as she didn’t want Naomi to win. Shayna then got a whisker of a minute to roll-up Naomi and Sonya didn’t take time and counted 3 as quickly as she could to help Shayna win. After the match, Naomi walked into Sonya’s face and argued with her until getting caught in a sleeper hold from behind by Shayna Baszler.

Halloween Trick or Street Fight- Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs. Madcap Moss & King Corbin: Time for a street fight where anything goes by. As the bell rang, Moss and Corbin ran into Boogs and Nakamura respectively and exploded on them with a series of right and left hands.

Moss then took Boogs outside the ring, meanwhile, Shinsuke was working on Corbin inside the ring. The action was first as all four men were up and running with their offense. At one point, we saw the 24/7 Champion Reggie making his way into the ring, and a fleet of wrestlers following him. It was chaos in the ring but all of them went outside without hampering the match.

Now, we saw Moss trying to dunk Boogs’ face inside a tub full of water and Apples. Boogs wasn’t willing to dunk into the tub and forced himself out of harm’s way. He then grabbed Moss from his neck to dunkhim in the same tub. Moss wasn’t willing to go in but Shinsuke came from behind hit Moss with a kendo stick and finally the latter’s face was dunked in.

The match continued after the commercial and we saw both teams going at each other using Kendo Sticks, Pumpkins, and even a candies bowl. Anything and everything was in action in the match.

Boogs was first targeted by both Moss and Corbin as they combined and hit him with a series of Kendo Stick strikes, but he was resilient enough. Shinsuke had the better of Corbin outside the ring and finally, he smashed Corbin into the barricade leaving Moss and Boogs on their own in the ring.

In the closing moments, Boogs was going for a splash from the middle turnbuckle, but right before his jump, two men dressed as Halloween skeletons came from behind and hit him with two kendo sticks. The effect of the strike saw Boogs falling from the turnbuckle into the ring, and Moss hit his finisher to pin Boogs. After the match got over, the two men dressed as Halloween skeleton removed their masks and revealed themselves as Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

King Woods and Kofi Kingston in the ring: King Woods and Kofi Kingston were in the ring for the Knighting Ceremony, Kofi started off by asking the crowd present in the arena to chant “Hail King Woods.”

Woods was happy to receive his crown and scepter from Kofi last week on Smackdown, and now the King wanted to give the Kingpin to his most trusted advisory, i.e. Kofi Kingston. Woods bestowed Kofi with the knighthood of ‘Sir’ and then the two men danced off before getting interrupted by the Smackdown Tag-Team Champions The Usos.

The Usos made fun of Kofi and King Woods’ and their outfit before the King shut them up by saying that The Usos have been wearing the same outfit since 2018. To close off the segment, Woods and Kofi challenged The Usos in a TRIAL BY COMBAT (a tag-team match) later tonight and The Usos accepted.

 

 

Mustafa Ali vs. Drew McIntyre: McIntyre’s open challenge was accepted by Mustafa Ali. As the bell rang, Ali was sent to the corner and then Ali went for two chest chops, but that didn’t do any harm to the new Smackdown Warrior.

Ali was stunned to see McIntyre not feeling the pain, he then got caught by McIntyre who threw him like a rag bag with two belly-to-belly suplexes. Just when it looked like McIntyre was closing off with yet another win on Smackdown, Drew was stunned by a series of kicks from Ali. McIntyre separated Ali and sent him to the corner, and Drew tried to bash into him in the corner, but Ali escaped, and Drew got shoulder-first into the post.

The momentum was shifting like a pendulum but Drew McIntyre came up with a neck breaker. He then tried going for a Claymore, but Ali’s agility saw Drew missing his finisher. However, in the end, Drew caught Ali in a Kimura Lock and the latter had no choice but to tap.

After the match got over, a fanatic Ali took the mic and said the reason why the people present in the audience booed him is just because his name is ‘Ali.’

Video footage: Adam Pearce appeared in a video footage to ensure that along with Brock Lesnar’s suspension, he has been fined USD 1 Million. The footage was seen closely by Paul Heyman backstage, who then got interviewed by Kayla Braxton.

Kayla asked Paul how would have Brock Lesnar responded to the fine imposed on him. Paul first praised his Tribal Chief saying that he smashed Lesnar at Crown Jewel, and then started off by saying how Pearce had the audacity to suspend Lesnar by coming into the ring. He went with the flow while speaking for Lesnar but then realized that he is the special counsel of Roman Reigns.

 

 

Shotzi vs. Charlotte Flair: The two ladies started off with a classic wrestling lock which was converted into a waist lock takedown by the champ. Sasha Banks was standing outside the ring near the apron keeping a close eye on the proceedings.

Shotzi and Charlotte exchanged their trades for some time before Shotzi got the upper hand when she arm dragged the champ and then hit her with a dropkick on the mat. Shotzi then tried going for a dive from the middle turnbuckle but the champ pulled her leg and she had a nasty landing with the back side head of the head slamming on the top turnbuckle.

Charlotte then gained the upper hand and was in control. Charlotte started working on Shotzi’s head by wrapping her hands around Shotzi’s neck. Sasha Banks was cheering for Shoti that made Charlotte go out and mock Sasha on her face. Charlotte wasted time mocking Banks and gave enough time to Shotzi to place a running dive on the champ from the middle rope. Now, we go into the commercial.

After we returned from the commercial, Shotzi made her way to the ring and flipped the champ from the top turnbuckle, and went for a close 2-count. She then went for a discus elbow and went for yet another cover, but again the champ survived.  Charlotte then retaliated from the offense and hit a big boot to Shotzi on the apron and sent her outside,

Charlotte went outside to beat Shotzi even more but the latter returned with a superkick. The action then moved into the ring. In the closing moments, Sasha Banks was on the ramp to get the better of Charlotte. Shotzi was going to hit the champ with a strong right hand but Charlotte escaped harms way and Shotzi was almost going to bump into The Boss, however, this gave Charlotte an opportunity to hit a fierce right of her own to Shotzi and then hit her with a natural selection to get the win.

After the match got over, Shotzi blamed Sasha Banks for the loss and beat the hell out of her both outside and inside the ring. We saw a vicious side of Shotzt who has seemingly turned heel now.

 

 

Charlotte Flair kicked off the night: The 12-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair kicks off the night. The Champ starts off by saying that she is not only the face of Smackdown but the face of this entire company.

Charlotte continues by saying after last week’s drama, the order has been restored and things have settled now perfectly. The champ didn’t refrain from saying that she is the leader of the company, and as she was speaking, Sasha Banks music hit and The Boss came out.

Sasha Banks started off by laughing at Charlotte Flair and said that she isn’t a leader in the locker room because she romps out everyone on her path. She then demanded a shot at the Smackdown Women’s title. Charlotte had other ideas though, she said that she has beaten Sasha again and again and now she needs to defend her title against a new face.

A new face is what Charlotte demanded, Shotzi on her tank made her way to the ramp and reminded Charlotte that if she wants a new face, she can face her. Charlotte expected the challenge and the two ladies will be facing each other in a Championship contender match next.
