In the ring: Sami Zayn takes the mic and tells the crowd that San Antonio is his least-liked place and he never imagined winning his first-ever Universal title before the San Antonio crowd. He further said once he upsets Roman Reigns tonight he won’t thank the people present in the crowd here but will thank Brock Lesnar.

Once Sami took Lesnar’s name, the Beast came out and stood in the ring with Sami Zayn. Sami said that he doesn’t want to disrespect him but of late his record against Roman has been a bit shabby. Therefore, if he (Brock) could help him win tonight against Roman then at WWE Day 1, Sami vs. Brock would be a lot easier than Roman vs. Brock.

This thought didn’t amuse Brock and he started an assault on Sami Zayn. He hit Sami with three German Suplex. The crowd charged him up further and he hit not one but three F5s on Sami Zayn. Finally, Brock help Sami get on his feet by making him stand at the corner so that he could face Roman Reigns for the title next.
