On WWE SmackDown this week, Rey Mysterio had a match with LA Knight and following the match, Dominik Mysterio triggered him to accept his WrestleMania challenge. Check out what happened in the match.

WWE SmackDown Results – Rey Mysterio vs LA Knight
Rey Mysterio walked out for his match against LA Knight. His wife and daughter were present at the ringside.
The match began with Rey Mysterio in control. He delivered 10-count punches. Knight recovered and slammed Mysterio face-first into the mat. He then stomped Mysterio and followed it with a neck breaker.
Rey Mysterio once again gained control of the match and headed to the top rope. However, right then Dominik Mysterio’s music played and Rey Mysterio got distracted. LA Knight took advantage of this moment and delivered a cheap shot to Rey.

Rey Mysterio fought back, he took down Knight with a dropkick. He then launched himself at LA Knight who caught him and planted him. Rey then hits a bulldog and later a senton.
Knight took down Rey and the latter countered with a DDT. Rey then went for a 619 but Dominik Mysterio interfered and LA Knight once again took advantage of the moment to claim the win.
Following the end of the match, Dominik Mysterio entered the ring and once again threw a challenge towards Rey Mysterio to face him at WrestleMania. Rey said no and walked out. Dominik then started throwing insults at his mother for marrying his father. He then told his mother to Shut Up.
With that, Rey Mysterio had enough of his son. He walked towards his son and delivered a blow. Rey then took the mic and accepted Dominik Mysterio’s challenge to face him at WrestleMania 39 and the fans go crazy over the announcement.

Thus, it’s now official that Rey Mysterio will go up against his son Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 39.
