WWE SmackDown Live Results November 4th: Gunther beats Rey Mysterio to retain Intercontinental Championship

WWE SmackDown Live Results November 4th live blog & live streaming details: Another action-packed week of WWE SmackDown took place and it did not fail to live up to the promise. The go-home episode of WWE SmackDown featured some high-profile bouts with the Intercontinental Championship contest between Gunther and Rey Mysterio being the highlight. Gunther vs Rey Mysterio (Intercontinental Championship) – The main event started promisingly as Mysterio applied a shove. Gunther took control of the situation soon as he hammered the ultimate underdog to the floor. The champion then threw Mysterio out of the ring and tried to choke him in the ropes. Mysterio quickly dodged a slam and nailed the body scissors sleeper. However, Gunther was quick to counter with a slam.

The former world champion looked adamant and was back to the sleeper again. He got the champion down to one knee but the latter somehow got rid of him. Gunther picked the Mexican up for a slam but Rey dodged the move and nailed the seated senton. Mysterio soon followed it up with the diving senton but Gunther survived. Rey did not waste time and hit the 619. Gunther gained back control for a while but Sunset Flip connected. It was still not enough to get the better of the big man. Mysterio then missed a splash as Gunther hit the shotgun dropkick and powerbomb. Rey tried to counter but Gunthernails the big boot followed by the Lariat to retain the title.

Shayna Baszler vs Natalya: Baszler got the better of her opponent with the Kirifuda Clutch and there was no escape for Neidhart.

Braun Strowman and MVP segment: MVP started it off as he said that he did well to gather five opponents for Braun Strowman. Strowman blindsided all of them and laid them out before moving on to MVP. It looked like hell for the former United States Champion as the monster broke Porter’s cane over his knee and hit a running powerslam. The was not the only one as he hit two more before the segment ended.

Liv Morgan vs Sonya Deville (No Disqualification match): The match started on a even note with the two women brawling like hell. During the dying stages of the match Deville managed to powerbomb her opponent into the steel chair. The former Women’s Champion survived and countered to hit the Oblivon into the steel chair. That was it for Sonya.
