WWE Smackdown: Is Brock Lesnar returning sooner than expected- The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar made a surprising return at the Summerslam PPV in August and stunned one and all. He then had a match against Roman Reigns for the Universal at the WWE Crown Jewel event in October but ended up on the losing side courtesy of The Usos and Roman’s dirty tactics.
A week after Crown Jewel on Smackdown, Brock laid waste on The Usos, Roman Reigns, a cameraman, an official, and one of the production crew members leading to his indefinite suspension and a million-dollar fine. The suspension was a way to keep Lesnar out of the storyline for a while, courtesy of his high-paying limited dates contract.

WWE Smackdown: Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are the two highest-paid stars in WWE today
Well, this comes with no surprise that Roman Reigns is one of the highest-paid stars in WWE today. We all know the Tribal Chief is in the good books of Chairman Vince McMahon as he has done anything and everything possible to make Roman a god-like or a demi-god figure in WWE today.

But Lesnar being among the highest-paid stars comes as a little surprise courtesy of his part-time status. According to Davel Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Brock and Roman are the only two superstars in WWE who make at least $5 million annually, while a couple of others make around $3 million.
Roman Reigns’ push has been on the run since 2015. But since he turned heel last year (and fans embracing his heel persona) at Summerslam PPV, he operates at a different level, and Vince McMahon has consistently made sure that his favorite superstar is untouchable. On the other hand, Brock Lesnar, since his return to the company in 2012, has been involved in major rivalries on a consistent basis but has majorly worked as a part-timer.
