WWE SmackDown Highlights

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament – Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs. Imperium

The match started with Ricochet and Ludwig exchanging strikes. Both the teams put up a great show, however, Gunther got banned in the middle of the match. Finally, Strowman and Ricochet defeated the other two to become the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship #1 Contender.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship – Charlotte Flair vs Sonya Deville

The match began with both women advancing head-to-head. Charlotte ruled at the beginning, Sonya countered. Both of them blocked each other’s advances. However, finally, Charlotte Flair managed to force Sonya Deville to tap out by locking her in figure 8.

Brawling Brutes vs Viking Raiders

Pete and Ivar started the match and the match headed in furiously until Ivar dropped Ridge Holland with a boot at the ringside and then Erik and Ivar took out Pete “Butch” Dunne with a Ragnarok. Thus, the Viking Raiders defeated the Brawling Brutes.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match – Natalya vs Shayna Baszler vs Shotzi Blackheart vs Zelina Vega

The fatal-4 match started. The match began with a blast with no one letting the other take control. However, Shayna Baszler did it and became the first one to take charge. Baszler successfully took out Shotzi, Zelina and Natalya respectively. However, Shotzi then took Shayna out with a series of strikes. Natalya tried to take out Shotzi but Zelina interrupted. Finally, Natalya forced Zelina to tap out. Thus winning the match and qualifying for the elimination chamber.

Sami Zayn and The Bloodline

Towards the end of the event, we saw Roman Reigns approaching the ring. He entered the ring and talked about Sami Zayn, said how Zayn broke his family and used him. Sami Zayn appearing out of nowhere, charged at Reigns and speared him and claimed that he would go after Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship title. Following this, Solo and Jimmy entered the ring and thrashed Zayn.

They put a chair on his face and Sikoa was about to destroy him when Reigns intervened and stated that he will break Sami Zayn in front of his entire family at the Elimination Chamber 2023.
