WWE Smackdown Highlights: Top 3 moments of Friday Night Smackdown- Tonight’s Smackdown aired live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The show started with all the five members of the Women’s Team Smackdown in the ring, and all of a sudden, it was all chaotic when Naomi entered the frame to launch an attack on Shayna Baszler.

We all had high hopes from the main event of the night featuring Xavier Woods and Roman Reigns, but as usual, an interruption from The Usos killed the thrill to end the night. What are the best three moments of the night, let’s have a look.

WWE Smackdown Highlights: Roman Reigns crowned himself as the new King

Roman Reigns and King Woods headlined tonight’s show. No one really counted on Woods in this match, but the King had a terrific show against the Universal Champion and almost defeated him if it wasn’t for The Usos rescuing their cousin.

King Woods hit a coast to coast to end Roman Reigns. He went for a pin and almost had him until The Usos intervened and pulled King Woods outside the ring to beat the hell out of him. After the beatdown, The Usos took King Wood’s Crown and put in on Roman Reigns to make him the new King.

Despite losing the match via DQ, Roman stood tall in the ring wearing the crown with his Bloodline cousins and Wiseman Paul Heyman. This crowning thing isn’t official as King Woods never lost the match, but now it would be interesting to see what drama takes place next week.

WWE Smackdown Highlights: Aliyah and Sami Zayn were removed from the women and men’s team of Smackdown, respectively

Sami Zayn and Aliyah have been removed from their respective teams of Smackdown for Survivor Series. Aliyah despite winning the 6-women tag-team match against Natalya, Shotz & Shayna Baszler, was discarded from Team Smackdown in a backstage segment by Sonya Deville.

Aliyah was stoked after picking up a win for her team in the opening bout of tonight’s show. While Aliyah was being interviewed backstage, Sonya Deville approached her to let her know that she is no longer a part of Team Smackdown for Survivor Series. The news was shocking for Aliyah, but the reason behind this move wasn’t revealed.

Sami Zayn also faced the axe from Team Smackdown for Survivor Series. He was booked for a match against Jeff Hardy tonight with a stipulation that suggested the loser will find himself out of men’s Survivor Series Team Smackdown. Sami lost and got axed from Team Blue.

WWE Smackdown Highlights: Sasha Banks and Toni Storm returned

Sasha Banks returned tonight after missing last week. The Boss returned and competed tonight in a 6-women tag-team match. She teamed up with Aliyah and Naomi to defeat Natalya, Shotzi & Shayna Baszler.

Among the returns, Toni Storm was another female superstar who marked her return tonight. After missing out on 4 weeks in a row, Toni Storm returned to interrupt Charlotte’s segment and challenged her for a Smackdown Championship match. Charlotte, however, didn’t accept the challenge.
