WWE Smackdown – From NBA star Trae Young’s appearance to Brock Lesnar’s return: Tonight’s monumental WWE Smackdown took place at the iconic Madison Square Garden to honor the United States of America on the eve of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. The show kicked off with the return of the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and ended with the return of “Demon” Finn Balor. So, we have compiled the three best moments from the night in this post that stood out from the rest. So, without any further ado, let us plunge into these moments.

WWE Smackdown: “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar returned and steamrolled The Usos

Brock Lesnar was announced for this week’s show, and the Beast Incarnate made an emphatic return on the Blue brand in the opening segment. He interrupted Roman Reigns’ segment by walking straight into his face.

Paul Heyman then asked Lesnar why he was going for the Universal Title when he could have gone after any other title in WWE. Lesnar interrupted Heyman and asked him why he did not tell Reigns that he was going to be at SummerSlam.

Roman got upset listening to this and snatched his title belt from Paul Heyman. He exited the ring along with his cousins The Usos, while Lesnar was seen laughing.

The Bloodline stood at the ramp. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar asked Paul Heyman to accept his challenge for the Universal Title before Reigns officially fires him. A shocked Heyman hindered as Lesnar gave him only 5 seconds to make his decision.

Lesnar and the crowd began the counting, and when only a second was left, Lesnar hoisted Heyman for an F5. Roman got back into the ring and hit a Superman Punch. The Usos also came into the ring and hit Lesnar with multiple superkicks, but the latter responded with a double clothesline.

Roman escaped the ring when he saw his cousins feeling the heat as Lesnar took out the Usos with multiple German Suplex. Like always, Roman Reigns didn’t come to the aid of his cousins.

WWE Smackdown: Atlanta Hawks’ very own Trae Young appeared tonight

A 10-man tag-team match took place tonight that saw The Mysterios, Big E, Rick Boogs & Shinsuke Nakamura taking on Sami Zayn, Otis, Apollo Crews, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. However, before the start of the match, Atlanta Hawks’ NBA star Trae Young was invited to the ringside by his friend Sami Zayn.

Young came out with the capacity crowd in Madison Square Garden booing him. He also tried to help Sami’s team by grabbing Rey Mysterio from the head on the apron, but the referee saw his dirty tactics and barred him from the ringside.

WWE Smackdown: “The Demon” Finn Balor returned

Finn Balor’s alter ego, “The Demon” finally returned tonight after two long years. He appeared in the closing stages of the night and confronted the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

The bout between the two was made official yesterday for the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules. However, previously it was Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns. However, after tonight’s show, WWE made it official that Finn Balor, as his alter-ego (Demon Finn Balor), will take on Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules.
