WWE Smackdown: Edge seeks help from top AEW stable- The Rated-R Superstar Edge returned tonight on WWE Smackdown and was seen calling AEW stars Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, aka FTR in a backstage segment seeking help. 

On tonight’s show, Seth Rollins was seen invading the Rated-R Superstar’s residence in Asheville, North Carolina. Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix and his kids were not present in the home, and Seth Rollins managed to broke into his house. All this was displayed on the big screen while Edge was in the ring watching haplessly.

WWE Smackdown: Edge called “Daniel & David” for help

After seeing Rollins invading his house, an agitated Edge rushed backstage and was seen calling his wife, Beth Phoenix. He asked her to go to her sister’s place and told her that he has sought help from Daniel & David, who are on their way to Edge’s home to deal with Seth Rollins.

Daniel & David was the reference to FTR’s Harwood & Wheeler, who are actively competing on AEW. It is to be noted that Edge is close friends with the FTR in real life, and they reside in the same neighborhood in Asheville.

WWE Smackdown: FTR once worked for WWE

FTR may be recognized as Cash Wheeler & Dash Harwood on AEW today, but they were a part of the WWE roster until last year. They were a tag team in the company named Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson The Revival. They were released by the company during the COVID-19 phase when WWE, citing budget cuts, released many employees.

The WWE Hall of Famer has earlier revealed that FTR helped him return to the ring in 2020 and has always been thankful to them for restarting his career. Talking to Cultaholic once, Edge said,

“The Revival, they both live in Asheville, so they’d come, and they’d get in there with me, and they’d put me through my paces,” said Edge. “I didn’t want to come back and be anything less than what I was. I’m going to have to work differently. I’m going to have different limitations… I still want to be able to go in there and be able to go half an hour,” said Edge. [H/T Cultaholic]
