WWE Smackdown: Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair: The newly crowned Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch returned to the Blue brand tonight, donning the “Heel” character. She kicked off the show tonight by addressing the WWE Universe and highlighting her victory over Bianca Belair.
“The Man” talked about how good she feels to be back on top and said when she gave up the RAW Women’s Title last year, it felt like she was giving up part of her identity. But now, with the Smackdown Women’s title in her possession, she has a new life and a new set of priorities.
WWE Smackdown: Becky Lynch was unapologetic on how she took the title from Bianca at Summerslam
While addressing the WWE Univers, Becky also addressed the backlash she is facing from some fans on how she defeated Bianca Belair at Summerslam. She said that she is Sorry…for absolutely nothing.
She further said that being in the WWE for so long, she knows how it is all about timings & opportunities, and whatever she did with Bianca at Summerslam was all about the same things. The segment was interrupted by the former champion Bianca Belair, who challenged her for a rematch, but “The Man” didn’t accept.
WWE Smackdown: Bianca Belair eventually emerged as the number one contender
After Bianca, the trio of Zelina Vega, Carmella, and Liv Morgan also interrupted simultaneously to take a shot at Becky. Later, a fatal 4-way elimination match between Zelina, Carmella, Bianca, and Morgan got underway, with the winner getting a future title shot at Becky Lynch’s Smackdown Women’s Championship.
The match saw all ladies going at each other to seize an opportunity for the title. Bianca eliminated Zelina and Liv Morgan eliminated Carmella. The bout was down to the final two ladies, and eventually, it was Bianca Belair who hit a Kiss of Death on Liv Morgan to earn the victory and a future shot at Becky’s Smackdown women’s Championship.
