WWE Raw Live: WWE Reportedly Bringing Back Mustafa Ali
Recently, Fightful Select reported the news of WWE’s plan to bring back the SmackDown Superstar. As per the reports, WWE is planning a pitch to bring Ali on Mondy Night Raw. Earlier, the former Retribution leader requested his WWE release in January but WWE denied it.
Eventually, WWE pitched many plans for Mustafa Ali, which went horribly wrong. In 2020, WWE decided to form the Retribution alliance, making Ali the leader, but the faction disbanded a couple of months later when WWE received negative reviews from fans. Later, WWE tried to involve Mustafa Ali in a feud against Mansoor, which took place successfully, but fans were not happy with WWE’s booking.
In October 2021, the WWE creative team booked Ali for a new angle, which presented him in a negative role as Anti-American. However, this plan failed horribly as fans went furious with the storyline which led WWE to cancel it.
It’s been 6 months since Mustafa Ali appeared on Live Tv. As of the 2021 WWE Draft, WWE drafted Mustafa Ali to the SmackDown brand. But, it seems WWE wants Ali to return to the Raw Brand.
Who could be Mustafa Ali’s opponent after his return?
Earlier, Mustafa Ali hinted at a possible match he would love to fight against The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. At WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE to which several superstars reacted.

One of them was Mustafa Ali, who tweeted, “The American nightmare vs a real American nightmare.” Although there are no current plans for Mustafa Ali’s feud with Cody Rhodes, it is likely that Ali wants a match with the former Intercontinental Champion.
