The next episode of WWE Raw Live will feature some of the best surprises post SummerSlam as WWE heads for its next PLE WWE PayBack. WWE RAW (August 7, 2023): 5 Things To Expect After SummerSlam

1. Cody Rhodes challenges Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title

At SummerSlam, the American Nightmare finally defeated Brock Lesnar to end their trilogy. Despite being overpowered by the Beast Incarnate, Cody Rhodes managed to win their last bout. The last bout was a big fight for the duo as they finally settled their feud at SummerSlam.

Once again, the 2023 Royal Rumble Winner could get back into the title picture on the red brand. Currently, Seth Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion and he is already ready to face Rhodes in their fourth encounter. If Rhodes does challenges Rollins for the title, fans will get a big title match at PayBack next month.

2. Judgment Day turns-on Finn Balor

After a big loss against Seth Rollins, Finn Balor is ferocious with his fellow teammate Damian Priest. The former US Champion tried to give his MITB briefcase in the middle of the match which turned the things and granted Rollins to finish the match with a Stomp.

This Monday Night fans can see another betrayal from Judgment Day if things go wrong. It is likely that Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley will kick out Finn Balor from Judgment Day. This could lead to another major match at WWE PayBack between Priest and Balor.

3. Gunther lays an IC Title open challenge

At SummerSlam, Gunther successfully defeated Drew McIntyre in the IC Title match. The former WWE Champion tried to punish the IC Champion with his power and agility; however, he failed to win the IC title. The Imperium leader continues his historic IC title reign who will soon break another WWE record.

Fans can expect him to put his title on the line in an open challenge tonight. This could also lead to another big feud or Drew McIntyre’s return to attack Gunther.

4. Rhea Ripley gets a new opponent for her title defense at WWE PayBack

After WWE didn’t give Rhea Ripley a SummerSlam spot, fans wondered why the Eradicator was on the sidelines. However, this could change change ahead of WWE PayBack. The red brand has some potential female superstars like Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Becky Lynch, Indi Hartwell and many more. WWE might add an fatal-4-way match to determine Rhea Ripley’s next opponent for her second title defense.

5. Bron Breakker makes WWE Raw debut

Bron Breakker has been a crucial part of the NXT since NXT revamp. The former 2-time NXT Champion dominated the NXT division for a long time until being defeated by Carmelo Hayes. After spending 3 years in the NXT, its time for the former NXT Champion to finally make his main roster debut.
