WWE NXT: Tonight’s WWE NXT gave us a glimpse of what one should expect at NXT Takeover 36. From Samoa Joe’s budding feud with NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Dakota Kai turning on her partner Raquel Gonzales, it seems like two colossal matches have already been set for NXT Takeover 36 scheduled on August 22. Let’s dive into the top three moments from the night in this post.
WWE NXT: Dakota Kai turns on Raquel Gonzales
One of the prominent teams of Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzales is no longer together. Dakota Kai has turned on Gonzales in a segment where the latter cut a promo telling how dominant her title reign has been.

During the segment, Gonzales mentioned Kai and said as long as she is with her, no one in the locker room can take the NXT Women’s Championship Title away from her. As Gonzales posed with the title on the corner taunting the crowd, Kai placed a running kick on the face of her friend in the corner.

Kai then took the Championship belt and raised it in the air, taunted Gonzales, then draped it over a helpless Gonzales before making her way back to end the segment. Dakota Kai vs. Raquel Gonzales is now booked for NXT Takeover 36 on Sunday, August 22.

Even last week, Kross continued taunting Joe and provoked him to come out of his current role and face him at Takeover 36. Therefore, the match between two stalwarts is final now on August 22 with the NXT Championship on the line.

WWE NXT: Adam Cole defeats Bronson Reed and gets attacked by Kyle O’Reilly
It seems like the rivalry between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly has some grains left. After Adam Cole defeated Bronson Reed in a grueling main-event bout, Cole got attacked by one of his bitter rivals Kyle O’Reilly.

Following his victory, Cole was posing at the ringside. Out of nowhere, Kyle O’Reilly attacked him from behind with a steel chair. One Chair shot and Cole was down on the floor. Kyle then picks him up and started unloading on him. He removed half of the steel steps and plants Cole back first, on the exposed steel stairs with a suplex.

The suplex was enough to get the better of Cole, who was screaming in pain, while the referee stopped Kyle from doing any further damage, and before the night got over, Kyle O’Reilly was the only one standing tall.
