WWE News: WWF Icon Darren Drozdov dies at 54, Leaves Fans Heartbroken

WWE News: WWF Icon Darren Drozdov popularly known as Droz, passed away at the age of 54 on June 30, 2023. According to a statement from the family, Droz passed away owing to natural causes. Follow the latest WWE News Updates with InsideSport.IN

Droz was an essayist, professional wrestler, and football player. Before coming into professional wrestling, Droz had a career in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. He is still famous for his time in the WWF and is considered to be a WWF Icon.
However, owing to a severe neck injury suffered during a match, Droz was quadriplegic. This marked the end of his wrestling career. But, he still worked for the company as a columnist and writer. However, his sudden demise has left everyone heartbroken.

We are truly saddened to hear of the passing of Darren Drozdov, who we were honored to work with during our second season.

Despite enduring a tragic, life-altering injury, his passion for life, enthusiasm and strength will always be a source of inspiration to us.

WWE also took their social media handle to express their grief on the sudden demise of the WWF Icon.

Meanwhile, Darren Drozdov’s family thanked WWE. “We also would also like to thank WWE for treating him like family, and for all of their love, support and stepping up to make sure that Darren always had the proper care and treatment needed to live in his condition over the past 24 years.“

The family also stated, ” He would not want anyone to be sad at this moment and would want to this to be a celebration of his life, to be remembered for all the great things that he accomplished, the fun, the laughter, the great memories he shared with everyone.“
