WWE News: This latest WWE News is about WWE’s Saudi Arabia event. WWE’s 10-year lucrative deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was halted last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the company will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for its next WWE Show in October.
WWE News: The October slot is seemingly official
Turki al-sheik, the Saudi adviser at the Royal Court, broke the news yesterday on Wrestling Club (an Arabic pro wrestling Twitter page) confirming that the event will take place in October in Riyadh.
Previously, it got reported that the King and Queen of the Ring finals will take place at WWE’s next Saudi Arabia show, and it seems like the event will have more than just the tournament.
WWE News: No name has been decided for the event as of yet
The company had a terrible 2020 when everything was put on a hold. WWE had to cut down all its touring since April 2020, and all the weekly televised shows were taking place at the WWE Performance Center initially and then at WWE Thunderdome.
The revenues hit a new low during the pandemic phase, resulting in the company releasing many of its top employees and superstars owing to budget cuts. Things got pretty worse, and the company had to cancel its Saudi Arabia tour in 2020. However, with things settling down now, October 2021 seems to be a perfect time for the company to return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and treat the fanbase there with some spectacular action.
WWE News: The actual dates?
As of now, only the month in which the event would take place has been announced from Turki al-sheik. Call on the actual dates would be taken when WWE authorities will have an official meeting with Sheik before October. We will keep you updated with the same. Stay Tuned.
