According to Licha Libre Program Mas Lucha, one-half of the Lucha House Party member has requested his release from the promotion, months after fellow luchador Andrade requested and was granted his release from WWE.

WWE News: Gran Metalik has been a hit and miss in WWE
Talking about Gran Metalik’s journey in WWE, he has never drawn any big accomplishments in the company. He was never used properly in the company, and Mas Lucha has reported that Metalik’s reason for his release request is due to the frustration he is experiencing with his bookings in WWE.
Mas Lucha also reported that Metalik’s deal runs through 2023, and he has plans to wrestle in the United States, Japan, and his native place Mexico. However, there is no word on if WWE will grant his release.

Metalik career spans over 16-year in pro-wrestling. He first gained accolades in CMLL under the name Metalik and later as Mascara Dorada. He developed the reputation as one of the best high-flyers as Dorada and won the CMLL World Welterweight Championship four times, a record that still remains intact. His run in Japan is best remembered for challenging Kenny Omega for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in 2015.

There won’t be a Lucha House Party if Gran Metalik is granted his WWE release. It is possible that Lince Dorado, one-half of the Lucha House Party, will compete as a singles performer and may get drafted to NXT 2.0, where he could get something substantial in his run.
