The WWE has now been sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which also owns Premier League club Newcastle. Surprisingly, the start of the year 2023 saw massive changes with Vince McMahon’s return with the news of WWE reportedly sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The news broke out after Stephanie McMahon’s resignation and unanimous voting to elect Mr. McMahon to the position of Executive Chairman. Meanwhile, WWE has positioned Nick Khan as the sole CEO of WWE.

As per the latest report, WWE has reportedly sold to Saudi Arabia which had a major interest in the Stamford-based wrestling company. Recently, DAZN has reported WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund which also owns Football Premier League’s New Castle club. Back in October 2021, they took over New Castle from Mike Ashley after the club was sold in a massive £300m deal.

Currently, there is no official update on the company’s status but it is assumed the company will be switched from public to private once again while Vince McMahon will regain creative control. On the other hand, WWE has strong relations with Saudi Arabia with their annual PLE Crown Jewel held every year since 2018.
