Despite all these achievements and a Hall of Famer career, the former champion wants his hands on the Intercontinental Title. This is the only title he hasn’t added to his accolade which will make him the grand slam champion.

Recently, Sheamus took to Twitter to reveal his big goal for the year 2023 with a throwback video from his rivalry with Gunther. He tweeted, “..in 2023 I take the IC.”
Earlier this year Sheamus and Gunther had an intense rivalry for the IC Title. Both men competed on the grandest stage at the Clash of the Castle in Cardiff, Wales in a big championship match. Although the Celtic Warrior put all his efforts to take down the Ring General, he was unsuccessful to win the title on 2 different occasions.
His Clash at the Castle match with Gunther received tremendous praise from the fans and it is listed as one of the top matches in the year 2022.

WWE SmackDown: Sheamus will face Solo Sikoa on Friday Night SmackDown
As announced earlier, Sheamus will face Solo Sikoa in a grudge match on Friday Night SmackDown. Since The Enforcer’s main roster debut, he is yet to be pinned and it is a good opportunity for Sheamus to make it happen.

Both men have already faced each other in the ring and both stars know their capability. In their earlier encounter, the Enforcer delivered heavy damage to the 44-year-old star. Moreover, a few weeks back Solo Sikoa also cost Sheamus and Butch the tag team titles against The Usos.
