WWE SmackDown Live Results January 6th, live blog & live streaming details: Another week and another edition of Friday Night SmackDown awaits the WWE Universe. This week’s show will be streamed live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

Roman Reigns arrives at WWE SmackDown: Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with The Bloodline destroying the announcing desk followed by the Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns. Sami Zayn took the mic to address The Bloodline’s sending a message to the WWE Universe. However, Reigns interrupted him that he doesn’t bother about this year but about last year’s big match against John Cena and Kevin Owens.

Roman Reigns addressed Sami Zayn’s loss and called the loss embracing. Soon, the temperature at the FedEx Forum rose after the Undisputed Champion got angry with Sami Zayn. He screamed at the Honorary Uce for calling the shot. However, Kevin Owens interrupted The Bloodline calling for a Royal Rumble match for the Undisputed Universal Title.

Kofi Kingston vs Santos Escobar: After a backstage confrontation between The New Day and Legado Del Fantasma, Kofi Kingston and Santos Escobar competed in a one-on-one match. Kofi Kingston started the match with a little agility against Escobar and dropped him out of the ring with a mock for the Royal Rumble match.

After the commercial break, the Lucha Libre took control of the match overpowering Kofi Kingston. He struck the NXT Tag Team Champion with multiple strikes followed by a kick on the neck. Escobar continued his dominance with trash talk but Kofi tried to counter with a sunset flip roll-up pin. Soon, the match turned the tables for Escobar as Kingston brought his momentum with an SOS.

The New Day member tried to go airborne but the former NXT Cruiserweight champion caught him with a knee Kingston did make his comeback with a drop kick. Eventually, Legado Del Fantasma stole the victory after the referee’s distraction knocked the tag team champion cold with the Fantom driver.

Karrion Kross & Scarlett vs Madcap Moss & Emma: Karrion Kross and Madcap Moss started the match. After the commercial break, both men tried to get an early start but Moss quickly delivered a DDT, and Kross tagged Scarlett in. Soon, Emma and Scarlett crossed paths in the ring. Emma delivered multiple strikes to Scarlett.

However, Kross sneaked in the save his partner. Soon, Madcap Moss and Karrion Kross fought once again. Although Moss tried his best to overpower Kross, the Dom Walker decimated him with a sleeper hold to win the match. Meanwhile, Scarlett drove Emma to the announcement desk. In the end, Kross sent a big message to WWE Legend Rey Mysterio mocking him.

Charlotte Flair addresses WWE Universe: The new SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair addressed her championship victory over Ronda Rousey last week. She thanked the WWE Universe for giving an overwhelming reaction to her SmackDown return. However, Sonya Deville interrupted her and called herself a true fighter challenging the champion for the title shot.

Sonya Deville knocked the champion with a shot to her neck and tried to overpower the champion. Unfortunately, Charlotte threw her out of the ring. Following the commercial break, Sonya Deville took control of the match and delivered a knee to the champion. She caught Charlotte in a sleeper hold and mocked the champion.

Soon, the champion made her comeback with multiple chest chops to Deville followed by a german suplex. In the final moments of the match, Charlotte speared Sonya with a quick submission lock to win the match.

Top Dolla vs Ricochet Royal Rumble Qualifying Match: Ricochet faced Top Dolla of Hit Row in a Royal Rumble qualifying match. Top Dolla started the match with utter dominance over Ricochet tossing him into the ring. Meanwhile, Hit Row mocked the high-flyer.

Soon, the tables turned out on Top Dolla after Ricochet knocked him down and ended the match in seconds with a banging shooting star press. Following the match, Hit Row decimated the former Intercontinental Champion in the ring. Surprisingly, Braun Strowman came to aid his friend.

The Usos vs Sheamus & Drew McIntyre: The Usos defended their Undisputed Tag Team Titles against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Jimmy Uso and Sheamus started the match with a banger. Soon, the tags changed with Drew McIntyre decimating Jimmy Uso with a fallaway slam. Later, Jey Uso and McIntyre face off in the ring but Jey Usos took McIntyre out with a Samoan Drop.

Jey Uso delivered a suplex and tagged Jimmy Uso to overpower the former WWE Champion. The Usos switched tags constantly to control the match. After the commercial break, Sheamus was in control of the match decimating Jey Uso with 20 beats of Bothdran. The champions tried to end the match with the frog splash but McIntyre and Sheamus knocked them with a top rope maneuver.

Soon, Drew McIntyre tagged himself in and went airborne to wipe out The Usos on the sidelines. Later, he delivered a Claymore to Jey Uso to win the match but Jimmy Uso came to save his brother. On the other hand, The Usos turned the tables with a 1-D finisher on Sheamus but McIntyre saved him.

In the final moments of the match, The Usos stole the victory with their rope trick to pin the Celtic Warrior retaining their tag team titles.
