Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recalled his match with Bret Hart, where the Hitman Hart won his first WWE title. The Nature Boy mentioned Bret Hart’s heartfelt message after the match.
Speaking on his To be The Man podcast, the WWE Legend mentioned Hart’s heartfelt message on their big anniversary match that happened in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on October 12, 1992.
“I just talked to him the other day on the anniversary of that. He sent me the nicest text saying that was the biggest day of his career, so he felt good about it. That’s all that matters.” [H/T Ringside News]
Earlier, both men had heat in their relationship after The Hitman criticized superstars like Seth Rollins, Goldberg and Triple H. Hart also had a heat with Shawn Michaels, the greatest rivals in WWE history. However, Flair and Hart became friends once again. Earlier this year, Bret Hart was also among the WWE Legends present at Ric Flair’s retirement match.

WWE News: What happened between Ric Flair vs Bret Hart in 1992?
In 1992, Ric Flair and Bret Hart competed in a match for the WWF (now WWE) Title at the Superstars taping in Saskatchewan Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on October 12. Both men competed for several minutes and the fans in the arena hoped for Hart’s win.
During the match, Hart dominated the first few minutes until Ric Flair took control. Later, fans saw Flair overpowering his opponent with multiple chest chops and figure-four lock. However, Hart didn’t give up and stood tall against the Nature Boy. Eventually, after a long battle of more than 25 minutes, The Hitman won the WWF title with a sharpshooter submission victory over Ric Flair.
It was one of his memorable moments where the fans in the Saskatchewan arena went crazy watching Bret Hart finally win his first title.
