WWE News – : The spear is one of the most iconic moves in the WWE History. Goldberg made it famous and it used by multiple superstars like Edge, Bobby Lashley, Batista, Roman Reigns and many more. Recently, Goldberg faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship and was put to sleep by the Tribal Chief.

Both superstars were scheduled to face each other at WrestleMania 36, however, the pandemic spoilt a lot of plans for WWE. During the build up to that match, Goldberg had made a comparison of the spear’s delivered by both superstars on WWE online show The Bump.

In January 2021, The Universal Champion responded to Goldberg on his comments in an interview with Fox. Reigns claimed his spear was very authentic and it could damage anyone’s organs if Reigns wanted too.

“There’s always this debate to the spear, Well, you don’t do it like Goldberg,’ and like …. that’s ’cause I’m a really good performer. I do it like I do it. So, I do a launch and make it very aesthetic. I’m not on the gridiron. If I want to push somebody’s organs through their spine, I can do that. There’s no problem. Easy. 6’3, 265, I’ll run through your ass. But, I try to launch it and make it look as Superman-esque as possible, like you’re flying, darting through the air.”
While Spear is the finishing move of both superstars, When Goldberg and Reigns met at Elimination Chamber, the spear wasn’t needed. The Tribal Chief put Goldberg to sleep with a guillotine choke.
