WWE News: The release of the WWE 2K22 Game delayed- Seems like the horde release of WWE Superstars over the last year has delayed the release of the WWE video game, WWE 2K22.
WWE’s mass budget cuts have hindered the release of WWE 2K22, and now it is expected to get on the floor in March 2022.- This would mean that 2021 will be the first year without any WWE video game release since 1997.

WWE News: WWE’s budget cut is the only thing that delayed the WWE 2K22 release
According to Sports Games Online’s report, the first DLC package for WWE 2K22 was based around the released WWE NXT Star Bronson Reed, but the plans for the DLC content became obsolete after Reed’s release.

The report further revealed that a minimum of four released superstars were originally supposed to be a part of the DLC package. WWE 2K20 wasn’t a big hit as its previous versions, and the makers are hoping to revitalize the franchise with some enhancement across the parameters in WWE 2K22. Therefore, after the budget cuts, the makers are taking their time to get things done thoroughly.

WWE News: Visual concepts are also being rectified
The development team at 2K Sports and Visual Concepts has jostled the plans resulting in at least two DLC packages getting scrapped over the last four months. The new idea popping up right now for Visual Concepts is to release standard-title updates throughout the game’s lifecycle, which will include new Superstars and new or updated gimmicks. However, that rumor has not been confirmed as of yet.
