WWE News: WWE sued by a rival company- One of the smaller rival companies has sued Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on Tuesday. The company has accused WWE of violating the federal antitrust law by monopolizing the professional wrestling market.
WWE News: The company named MLW Media LLC has accused WWE and its CEO Vince McMahon of threatening investors and content partners for doing business with MLW Media LLC. They have accused WWE by saying that by doing so, the company has protected its 85% share in the US market for professional wrestling broadcast rights.

WWE News: WWE sued by MLW Media LLC- This isn’t the first time WWE has interfered in something like this. Last year the Mamaroneck, a New York-based plaintiff, said that WWE’s interference in 2021 caused Vice TV to end their talks to air new MLW content.- This led to a 40% drop in ticket sales after the Tubi streaming service licensing of Fox Corp got abandoned a night before it was set to be announced publically.

Furthermore, MLW has also accused Stamford, Connecticut-based WWE of persuading MLW wrestlers to break exclusive contracts and airing live MLW footage without their consent. They did this to combat a five-year drown in the popularity of its own programs.
MLW stated, WWE’s “pattern of predatory and exclusionary conduct” has reduced competition and harms consumers by relieving them of content and keeping the prices high. MLW Chief Executive Court Bauer said, “This anti-competitive behavior has to stop.”

The complaint is filed in San Francisco federal court, and WWE has its say in an emailed statement. Vince McMahon & Co says that MLW’s claims had no merit and it intended to vigorously defend itself. Furthermore, Vince McMahon was not named as a defendant.
