Roman Reigns was drafted to stay on Friday Night SmackDown while holding the Undisputed WWE Universal Championships last Friday. Hunter then declared that Monday Night RAW now holds the new World Heavyweight Championship. A competition for the title has been announced by The Game today.
Following Backlash 2023, there will be two triple-threat matches on both RAW and SmackDown, according to information provided by Triple H during the press conference. The main event of the evening will be a match between the winners of those contests. The two contestants that triumph in both matches will square off for the championship at Night of Champions in 2023.
Although the belt is only available on the red brand, SmackDown superstars will have the chance to contend for it. If a SmackDown wrestler wins the championship, he might take the new World Heavyweight Championship to Monday Night RAW.
