If someone in WWE could match Hogan’s popularity, it was John Cena. The Cenation leader rose up the ranks with his incredible mic skills and slowly changed his gimmick to a more serious and action-oriented one. Once he became the face of the WWE, Cena never deviated from his babyface gimmick as fans could not imagine him as a heel. He went on to win the world championship 16 times in his illustrious career which includes several other achievements as well.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s One On One, former SmackDown general manager Teddy Long named Hulk Hogan and John Cena as the two most popular wrestlers in WWE history.
“I would say, Hogan. He was the hottest thing since sliced bread. WWE News: John Cena will be fighting in a tag team contest on December 30 on WWE SmackDown
John Cena will be teaming up with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a tag team bout on the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown. He last wrestled in WWE a year back at WWE Summerslam in a losing effort against the Tribal Chief.
