While everything looked smooth for Shane O Mac in the ring, backstage there was a storm. According to rumours, Shane McMahon was the producer of the Royal Rumble match.

Shane McMahon was producer and lead writer for the Men’s Royal Rumble match and there is A TON of heat on him today for it.
We were told that Shane was fighting everyone, booking himself to be one of the last one’s out, & he has the entire locker room really angry.

Shane wanted to book himself more powerful than many other superstars.

WWE cancelled all creative plans for Shane McMahon
Shane McMahon was supposed to have a huge road to WWE WrestleMania this year and his Royal Rumble appearance wasn’t a one-time thing. He was supposed to be this week’s Raw following the Royal Rumble.
The plan was to have him in a feud with Seth Rollins leading to WrestleMania. He was booked for Elimination Chamber, many episodes of Raw and finally WrestleMania. However, everything has been scrapped. Vince McMahon has ordered to ‘Let Go’ of Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon hasn’t been a WWE employee for a long time. He has been on part-time contracts and just as talent while his sister Stephanie McMahon and brother–in–law Triple H have executive roles.
