WWE News: Sami Zayn talks about how he feels about wrestling these days

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the 38-year-old commented on how he is feeling about his work right now. He revealed that the scenario has completely changed and he is enjoying wrestling much more than he used to during his early days.

“Wrestling is more on my mind now than it’s ever been,” says Zayn. “I used to think that the hard work is in getting here, and then you feel like you’ve made it, but the last few years is when wrestling has been on my mind more than ever during the week. Early on in my career, I’d always felt this strange distinction from other wrestlers on the indies. I always felt like I was a guy who wrestled, not a wrestler, if that makes any sense. So during the week, it was kind of on the shelf. But these past few years, there’s been a direct correlation with the amount of input that I’ve been able to get through onto the show and the amount of time it’s consumed me during the week.

This year’s Survivor Series witnessed an emphatic main event as Sami Zayn and the Bloodline took on The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens.

In the dying moments of the match when every other member of the Bloodline was down and out, Sami Zayn had to make a tough choice. He had to choose a side between the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and his long-time friend Kevin Owens. In the end, he proved his loyalty to the Head of the Table by turning on his friend and helping the Bloodline pick up the victory.
