WWE News: Kurt Angle on Roman Reigns: Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been on the top of his game for more than two years now. He is now the most dominant heel in WWE with his faction Bloodline backing him week in and week out. Before playing heel as The Tribal Chief, Reigns had another spell as a negative character during his run as a member of The Shield. However, his current run is the best he has ever had by a distance.

Speaking on the most recent episode of his Kurt Angle podcast, the Olympic gold medalist explained that Roman Reigns had to work hard to earn the respect he enjoys today. He also opined that WWE should have unleashed his heel character a long time back.
“I mean, Roman Reigns is one of the best workers in the business today. He earned that spot. So even though he didn’t earn it at the beginning, he had to go through that pressure of being the guy that’s pointed out as the top guy, and he worked through it, and he became the top guy. He gained respect from the other wrestlers eventually and that was the most important thing. It’s good to see they figured his character out. They should have turned his heel a long time ago. This is the best stuff he’s doing right now today and being a heel, doing the whole family thing, acknowledged me? It’s really good stuff.” (via RSN)

WWE News: Kurt Angle comments on Roman Reigns’ early days in WWE
The WWE Universe first got a glimpse of Roman Reigns in the main roster as a member of the faction The Shield which also consisted of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
In the same podcast, Angle professed that the Head of the Table should not have been pushed as hard as he was during his initial days.
“I thought Raman was improving dramatically. I won’t agree that at the beginning of his career he should have been pushed as hard as he was pushed. He was still a little green, but Vince had faith in him and Vince did the right thing because Roman Reigns turned out to be an incredible performer.” (via RSN)
