WWE News: This latest WWE news is regarding the former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. In recent times, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has become a pain in the eye for WWE. After the rumor of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk potentially joining the promotion surfaced like a like wire, another rumor has made its way to the rumor mill suggesting that the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar is possibly heading to AEW.
WWE News: Is Brock Lesnar heading to AEW?
It’s been more than a year since we haven’t seen Brock Lesnar in WWE. The Beast Incarnate was last seen in action at Wrestlemania 36, where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. According to several reports, Lesnar’s contract with WWE expired in August 2020, and since then, he has been a free agent.

With WWE Summerslam being WWE’s next big PPV event, rumors surfaced that Lesnar might show up at The Biggest Event of the Summer, however, all those rumors got buried.
Recently, some rumors have sparked that the Beast Incarnate might be heading to AEW. However, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer News shot down the rumors by stating,
“Fiction. He [Lesnar] and AEW have never had a serious talk.”
Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast also had his say on this matter. During the podcast, he mentioned,
“I can tell you right now that Brock Lesnar has not signed with AEW. They have spoken maybe once in passing, nothing serious whatsoever. Everybody that I asked about this they laughed. That’s all I know. I can only tell you what they’ve said to me. I also know that Dave [Meltzer] said that it is not true, Brock has not already signed with AEW.”
“Brock is not signed with WWE. I know WWE wants him.”

WWE News: Can WWE afford to let go Brock Lesnar?
Brock Lesnar is a free agent since August 2020. He hasn’t signed with any other wrestling promotion since his departure from WWE after Wrestlemania 36, and WWE can not afford to lose him to any other promotion.
The reason behind this is the viewership and the amount of eyeballs Lesnar’s presence grabs. With Aleister Black, Andrade already headed to AEW, and Daniel Bryan & CM Punk possibly following the suit, WWE is in dire need of a charismatic star like Brock Lesnar to stay around. At this point with their struggles in viewership, WWE can’t afford to lose Lesnar to any other promotion.
