It is to be noted that this is not the first time WWE has faced a lawsuit over the use of pyrotechnics. Previously, in 2019 another fan suffered burns from a pyrotechnic display and thus sued the company.
WWE Fights back
In the present scenario, WWE has fought back as the company has filed a request to have the lawsuit move to arbitration.
According to WWE, when purchasing tickets, fans agree to arbitration as a part of the terms and conditions stated. Thus, the case should be heard in arbitration.
It has come to light that the tickets were purchased by Jackson’s nephew, who stated that he never assented to any terms and conditions laid down by the company.
The company has fought back stating that he did agree and his claims are incorrect.
However, the court is yet to look into the matter.
