WWE News: Former NXT Women’s Champion is heading to the main roster- Former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzales has done almost everything on NXT. From winning championship titles to dominating the women’s roster, Raquel has proved her mettle in one way or the other.
Having achieved all the success on NXT, it’s time for Gonzalez to showcase her amazing in-ring abilities on the main roster. It seems like only a matter of time when she could get a call up for Raw or Smackdown, and this could possibly happen after the Royal Rumble PPV event.

WWE News: Raquel Gonzales is ready for the main roster
Bryan Alvarez discussed today on Wrestling Observer Live that Gonzalez will have a short hiatus before getting the main roster call-up. Right now, WWE wants to keep her on NXT to compete in the women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic tag-team tournament and probably team up with Cora Jade. Alvarez said,

“You know who showed up out of the blue? Raquel Gonzalez. She is on her way out [of NXT], but they had to bring her back because they have a tournament coming up, and they don’t have any teams for it! So they had to figure out who is going to be in this tournament. We have announced a tournament, but we have no teams.”

WWE News: Which brand Raquel Gonzalez should look to go to?
When and where Raquel would end up (Raw or Smackdown) is not yet finalized. However, she should be going to Friday night Smackdown as the Blue brand is in desperate need of top female superstars. With Sasha Banks injured for an undisclosed period and Toni Storm released, Raquel Gonzalez heading to Smackdown is something WWE should look forward to doing. Will we see her heading to Smackdown?
