WWE News: Edge to return next week on Monday Night Raw: Reports
In the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez commented on the WWE Hall of Famer’s return. Bryan mentioned WWE scheduled Edge to return next week on Monday Night Raw during the Go-Home SummerSlam edition. In addition, he mentioned Edge will return with his old ‘Rated R Superstar’ gimmick.
Alvarez said, “I think they’ve already got Rated-R Superstar merch, so I’m pretty sure he’s returning as the Rated-R Superstar. Now what that means as a babyface [or as] a heel, I don’t know. I don’t think he’s coming back to Judgment Day. Especially because he left Judgment Day, he left because he didn’t want to be involved with anything spooky, but then they haven’t done anything spooky [with Judgment Day].” [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
Last month, during the 6th June edition of Monday Night Raw, Finn Balor joined The Judgement Day. However, things changed for Edge after Damian Priest revealed his true intentions of getting rid of the final obstacle and knocked out Edge. The brutal assault ended up with a chair shot to Edge from Damian Priest.

WWE News: Will Edge return as a heel or a babyface?
It is unsure if Edge will return as a heel or a babyface. Earlier this year, the Rated R Superstar turned heel when he competed against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. Later that night, Edge revealed himself as Judgement Day’s leader becoming the Master Manipulator to run the newly found faction.
However, it should be neglected that Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest betrayed the former WWE Champion and he would likely return as a babyface to confront them. On the other hand, Monday Night Raw has no top babyface superstar as Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes are out of action due to injury.

It is likely that the Rated R Superstar would return as a babyface to become the new face of Monday Night Raw. What do you think of Edge’s return? Are you excited? Tell us in the comments.
