John Cena will pair up with Seth Rollins and take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci on September 8 at the Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad for WWE Superstar Spectacle India.
Cena and Rollins are former rivals who have gone on to fight each other in several WWE Pay-Per-Views. However, they will now accompany the other to win on Indian soil in the coming weeks.
16-time WWE World Champion John Cena will perform in India for the first time. AS WWE returns to the Asian sub-continent after more than five years, the online tickets for the event are already sold out on Book My Show.
It will be interesting to note how he fares with Seth Rollins by the side. Cena will reportedly appear in the next episode of WWE SmackDown on August 1 in Pennsylvania. It is unclear whether he will compete in a brief fight but will fly with the company to India for the next week.
As we look back at the history of John Cena and Seth Rollins, they fought in a TLC match in 2014, US Title vs WWE Title fight in SummerSlam 2015. Cena and Rollins also locked horns in a US title steel cage match two years back.
The TLC fight was declared a no-contest after both men put each other through tables inside the ring. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins beat John Cena in 2015, which the 16-time WWE champion avenged two years back in the steel cage contest.
It would have been absurd to think of John Cena and Seth Rollins teaming up back then, but it’s actually happening and Indian fans would be entitled to catch it live from the arena.
