WWE gets sued by a Former Writer for Racism and Wrongful Termination
Britney Abrahams, a former writer of the largest wrestling Promotion in the world has filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and other executives of the company. The lawsuit was filed on April 25, 2023. The lawsuit includes Chris Lubrano, Chris Dunn, Jen Pepperman, Ryan Callahan, Mike Heller, and Stephanie McMahon. Abrahams sued WWE for racism and wrongful termination.
Abrahams, in the lawsuit, claims that she was discriminated against and terminated for showing objections to “offensively racist and stereotypical jargon” in WWE Scripts for black talents of the company. However, she also stated that her complaints were ignored.

Abrahams was terminated by the company on April 2022, stating that “in retaliation for engaging in protected conduct Defendants unlawfully and pretextually terminated Plaintiff’s employment.”
Abrahams stated that she was terminated by the company due to taking a WrestleMania chair home. However, according to her, other writers who took the chairs were not terminated by the company.
This is what Abrahams is seeking:
“An award of damages in an amount to be determined at trial, but in any event in excess of the jurisdictional limit of any other court which might otherwise have jurisdiction over this matter, plus prejudgment interest, to compensate Plaintiffs for all monetary and/or economic damages, including but not limited to, the loss of past and future income, wages, compensation, seniority, and other benefits of employment.”
However, as of now, no official comments have been made by WWE regarding the lawsuit.
