WWE Draft 2023: The WWE just kicked off their highly anticipated annual draft, which involves the entire roster being assigned to either Raw or Smackdown. WWE Draft 2023: Smackdown No.1 Pick

Triple H mentioned that he had the first picks in his hand and asked Corpus Christi if they were ready. He then announced the first pick, who went to SmackDown, with all three drafted as one: Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The Bloodline remained on the blue brand as the No. 1 pick went to Reigns, Sikoa, and Heyman. He mentioned that with Reigns staying on SmackDown with the Universal title, the new World Heavyweight title would be exclusive to WWE Raw.

Triple H informed us that 50 percent would be drafted that night, and the other 50 percent would be drafted on Monday on Raw. A graphic for the Friday Draft Pool, which showed Superstars eligible to be drafted that night, flashed across the screen.

As anticipated, Smackdown top pick in the draft was none other than Roman Reigns, the current WWE Universal Champion. With his outstanding career accomplishments and undeniable dominance as a titleholder, selecting Reigns was an expected yet strategic move for the brand, pleasing wrestling fans everywhere.

In the previous draft, Roman Reigns was the number one overall pick, and he was also chosen to join the blue brand.
