WWE Day 1 Spoiler: A 12-men Gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for the Intercontinental championship was announced last week on Friday Night Smackdown. The 12-man gauntlet match was scheduled to take place this upcoming week on Smackdown, but it got taped last Friday night that saw Sami Zayn winning the bout. After Sami’s win, it got announced that Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn will happen at the WWE Day 1 PPV.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship is all set for WWE Day 1 PPV event scheduled on Saturday, January 1, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The match isn’t officially announced by WWE yet, but it is expected to get official after this week’s Friday Night Smackdown.
