Like males, WWE has always given a platform to the female wrestlers to perform on the world stage, however, when it comes to Saudi Arabia, only twice the ladies of WWE have performed in the Gulf Country out of the five instances.- This might sound weird to every pro-wrestling fan, but it is true.

WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Why the female superstars have performed only twice in Saudi Arabia’s events?
WWE had been severely criticized for hosting events without female wrestlers, and the reason behind this is due to the limited rights women have in Saudi Arabia.
After a barrage of criticism, WWE finally held a first-ever women’s match at the Crown Jewel event in 2019 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, where Natalya defeated Lacey Evans. The ladies wore full-body suits and T-shirts instead of the normal ring gear, due to the country’s conservative dress policy.

It was a monumental event to see ladies competing in Saudi Arabia & WWE celebrated this historic moment by nominating the match at the WWE Year-End Award for Moment of the Year.
Bayley vs. Naomi was the first-ever Championship match in Saudi ArabiaIn 2020, WWE again hosted a PPV event in the Gulf Country named WWE Super ShowDown at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard that saw. The event witnessed the then Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley successfully defending her title against Naomi.
WWE Crown Jewel 2021: WWE now prepping up for their third women’s match in Saudi Arabia
This year at the Crown Jewel event, Becky Lynch will be defending her Smackdown Women’s title against Bianca Belair & Bayley. This would be the third women’s match in the Gulf Country. However, the Smackdown Women’s Title will be on the line for the second time in two years in Saudi Arabia, after Bayley vs. Naomi last year at WWE Super ShowDown.
