WWE Crown Jewel 2021: WWE wants Crown Jewel to be a massive event- WWE Crown Jewel is only two weeks away, and WWE is not leaving any stone unturned to make the event a must-watch in recent times.

Despite the COVID-19 scare, WWE delivered a terrific Wrestlemania 37 in April and Summerslam in August, now they want the same for Crown Jewel scheduled for October 21 at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Crown Jewel is more of a giant house event than a PPV

As mentioned above, WWE Crown Jewel is just two weeks away, but the show doesn’t have the same buzz as many of the other pay-per-views. Whenever WWE makes a trip to Saudi Arabia, most of the core audience misses out on watching the event. Time zone is one of the factors, along with the fact that fans treat it as a giant house show instead of a PPV.

Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast has reflected on this issue and said that WWE is looking forward to changing the fans’ perception by making Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, a show that the audience wants to watch. Zarian said,

It’s a big show. They are giving away big matches in Saudi Arabia. It is a money deal for them. Will there be any long-term changes to their storytelling? Most of the time, no but, maybe we’ll see some changes happen this time around. Because I know the big deal for them has been [that] they are very much aware that the Saudi show seems like a nothing show. It just seems like a very big house show with no longer-term repercussions. But they want to change that and make this a show you want to watch. One O’clock in the afternoon on a Thursday is maybe not the most peak viewership, but they don’t give a sh*t about peak viewership. They don’t care about any of that because they make the same amount of money no matter how many people watch live or not on Peacock. I would not be surprised if they continue on with these stories and stuff.”
