WWE Crown Jewel 2021: This is perhaps Drew McIntyre’s last shot at the WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre was moved to Friday Night Smackdown on the first night of WWE Draft. He seized his opportunity to run WWE on his own in the pandemic era. He defeated Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 36 to win the coveted WWE Championship title and went on to have a dominant run as the WWE Champion.
In the course of the last year, he had two reigns, but he was robbed of his title by The Miz as the A-Lister cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at the Elimination Chamber PPV earlier this year. The title then changed hands with the All-Mighty Bobby Lashley, who kicked off an epic reign.
McIntyre had his opportunity to get the better of Lashley and reclaim the title, but thanks to MVP Lashley used to survive every now & then. Drew McIntyre is on the Blue brand now, which means this is his final shot at the WWE Championship before he moves to the Blue brand for good. Will the Scottish Warrior take the title to Friday Night Smackdown, or will Big E emerge victorious in his first-ever title defense? We will get the answers at Crown Jewel PPV on October 21.
