What is the Storyline behind the possible Main Event of WWE Backlash 2023?
Cody Rhodes faced Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39 and lost.
Following that on WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar were ready to face Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match. However, the match never occurred because Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Rhodes as soon as the bell rang.
According to reports, the reason behind the attack was Brock Lesnar being angry about his position on the WrestleMania card. He wanted a main event slot, but his match kicked off Night Two instead.
However, following the attack, Rhodes challenged Lesnar to a match at WWE Backlash, which Adam Pearce later made official. Thus, Brock Lesnar’s wish of getting a main event slot might come true on WWE Backlash 2023.
