WWE Backlash 2023: Predicting the Five Potential Matches

1. Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar

On WWE Raw following WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Rhodes and destroyed the American Nightmare with F-5s. Rhodes was then taken to a nearby medical facility by the WWE officials and medics.
However on WWE Raw this week, Cody Rhodes appeared and Challenged The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar to a match at WWE Backlash. However, Lesnar is yet to accept Rhodes’ challenge but Lesnar has been advertised for Monday Night Raw next week, thus Lesnar might accept Rhodes’ challenge on the upcoming episode of Raw.

2. Rey Mysterio and Bad Bunny vs The Judgment Day ( Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio)

Bad Bunny was present during WrestleMania 39. Not only that, but he also interfered in the match between Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio and blocked a potential attack from Dominik Mysterio on Rey Mysterio.
Following that on WWE Raw, Dominik confronted Bad Bunny and Damian Priest attacked him.
Since Bad Bunny is the host of WWE Backlash, he might team up with Rey Mysterio to face Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest.

3. The SmackDown Women’s Champion vs The Raw Women’s Champion

Rhea Ripley is the new SmackDown Women’s Champion whereas Bianca Belair is still the WWE Raw Women’s Champion. The duo had an encounter on WWE Raw following WrestleMania, where Ripley claimed that Belair was lucky that she didn’t get chosen by Rhea Ripley as her opponent. If this feud continues, then WWE Universe would love to see a ‘Winner Takes It All’ match at Backlash 2023.

4. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez recently defeated Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

However, if Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler get healed from their injuries before WWE Backlash 2023, they might return and face the new Women’s Tag Team Champions at the upcoming PPV event.

5. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs The Usos

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn recently defeated the Usos at WrestleMania to become the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
However, at WWE Backlash 2023, they might get a rematch. But, it is assumed that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will once again emerge as winners as it will be counterproductive for them to lose the titles to the same guys they dethroned a few months back.
