WWE’s biggest yearly event, Wrestlemania, is ready to take place. On April 1 and 2, WrestleMania 39 returns to Hollywood for a two-night extravaganza. Roman Reigns, the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, and Cody Rhodes, the winner of the 2023 Royal Rumble, square off in a significant match on the second night.

WrestleMania 39: List Of Active Indian WWE Superstars

India is currently one of WWE’s most important markets. The vast population and love of pro wrestling in the nation have always forced Vince McMahon’s promotion to pay more attention to India. Here are the five WWE Superstars who hail from India.

  • Jinder Mahal

Dhesi Yuvraj Singh, a Canadian professional wrestler registered with WWE, goes by the ring name Jinder Mahal. He was previously a WWE and American Champion. He is currently a SmackDown Superstar.

Jinder Mahal started competing for RAW but was forced to miss time with another injury. Mahal attacked Drew McIntyre during the Money in the Bank event, and they fought again in 2021. McIntyre defeated Mahal at SummerSlam. Jinder Mahal was last seen on the January 10th, 2023 edition of NXT; Mahal made his stunning return, taking out Julis and Brutus Creed and aligning himself with Sanga.

  • Dilsher Shanky

Dilsher Shanky can carry on the Great Khali’s legacy. His height is about seven feet, and Khali himself trained him. In an eight-man tag team competition at Superstar Spectacular, he joined forces with Giant Zanjeer, Rey Mysterio, and Ricochet to defeat Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin, and Shinsuke Nakamura. After that, Shanky began appearing on RAW, aligning himself with Jinder Mahal. Shanky and Mahal were selected for SmackDown as part of the 2021 WWE Draft, and the former now partners with the latter. The last he was seen was WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Jul. 22nd, 2022, with Erik& Ivar, and he was teamed up with Jinder Mahal.

  • Guru Raaj

Guru Raaj was picked for WWE after a talent show. Raaj, a fantastic, eminent superstar, can be seen on 205 Live and NXT. He engaged in combat with Finn Balor at the Superstar Spectacular. The Indian superstar challenged Balor’s hegemony despite losing. What most surprised the former Universal Champion was that it was Raaj’s maiden match.

Since then, Guru Raaj has made several appearances at 205 Live and NXT. He is also considered the first aerial wrestler in the nation. On November 22, 2022, Guru Raaj last appeared on NXT TV during a fight with SCRYPTS.

  • Rana Sanga

Sourav Gurjar Aka Rana Sanga, along with Rinku Singh Rajput, Sourav Gurjar made his WWE NXT debut as The Indus Sher. Malcolm Bivens handled the group’s management. At Superstar Spectacle, they joined forces with Drew McIntyre to defeat Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers. After that, their team was divided, and Rinku was called to RAW. Sourav quickly departed for India without a plan. On January 18, 2022, broadcast of NXT, he made a triumphant comeback as Sanga.

Will Veer Mahan be the Surprise element at WrestleMania 39

The company broke up the team after the 2021 WWE Draft when Veer was sent to RAW, and Mahal & Shanky were transferred to SmackDown. Since then, Veer still has to revisit WWE RAW.

Yet, WWE has been advertising his comeback with a weekly vignette of his coming for several months now. Veer Mahaan is predicted to receive a significant push whenever he returns. Last, he was seen in WWE NXT on 28th February 2023 with Sanga.
